Rouge kisses!!

Sexy, classy, Hollywood, glam, vintage!!! - are just some words that describe wearing show stopping red lipstick!! For me it's a must have and gives an instance 'wow' factor to your look!!

There are so many amazing colours available and different brands out there and it can get overwhelming so have a little look at this fabulous list composed by Marie Claires of their top 10 red lippys;

I love Chanels Rouge Allure range! Team it up with 'Pep and Prime' lip primer by Mac and your lips will look amazing! My advice is to lightly exfoliate your lips in circular movements with an old toothbrush, then apply some Vaseline to moisturise (I love cocoa butter flavor) then apply MAC prep and prime lip primer over your lips. Then using a lip brush, apply the beautiful Chanel Rouge Allure - my fave shade is 'flamboyante' - for kissable lips!!

Wedding worries!!

As the beautiful wedding season fast approaches lots of my lovely bride-to-be's share there fears and worries about the big day!! I always reply with 'and breathe!!'....

It is so easy for me to say that but breathing and keeping calm and keeping on top of your organizing will really help allieviate your challenges. Practice breathing techniques and take some time out to reflect and reassess, ideally in a bubble bath, candles and an amazing wedding note book will help you be as cool as a cucumber..... (beauty tip alert; bath, candles and slices cucumber over your eyes for approx 20 mins will give your peepers a gorgeous fresh 'I'm in control of my big day' look!! Hehe!!) :-)

Treat yourself to a lovely wedding note book, each Sunday evening bullet point on a page the things you need to do that week ahead for the wedding, even down to little tasks like; 'research on the Internet bridesmaid dresses' then on the next few pages make those note pages from your to-list for that week!! Once you have completed give each task a big tick and then the following Sunday evening sit down with a cuppa and focus on your next weekly wedding to-do list!! It sounds simple but is really affective and makes you feel calm, in control and focused!!

Practise makes perfect!!

When it comes to hair and make up styles, its is about being creative and experimental - but it also about practicing!! I know it is the age old cliche but as a hair and makeup artist I can honestly say that is exactly the advice I give when I am asked about creating styles and looks.

Spring Nails - thank you Chanel!

Don't neglect your nails this January -- have a look courtesy of the fab hollywood life article the GORGEOUS 2012 nail colours from Chanel!!! Available this month and aptly named April, May and June, these are must haves!!

Wear these colours with a lovely day look of a fresh, dewy base - tinted moisturizer is a great option (Benfit Benetint is fabulous!!) peachy blush (I love MAC's Peaches-Pure Peach Sheertone Powderblush) and glossy lips (I mentioned this product yesterday but it's gorgeous, the Clarins Colour Quench Lipbalm in sweet papaya)

You'll look and feel fresh like Spring!! :-)

Treat yourself!!

With all of the fabulous Christmas sales at our fave department store; Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Debenhams, etc - now is the perfect time to treat yourself to a new skin care regime!! Great makeup is built upon great skin so cleanse, tone (if you are super good!!) and moisturise are vital for a gorgeous base.
I recently bought Clarins Colour Quench Lipbalm (which is gorgeous, has high shine and is nourishing!!) and was given free samples of Clarins skin care and I am hooked!! I have always loved Clarins Beauty Flash Balm (use after moisturising and just before makeup application - or wear it alone for gorgeous skin) but I have was given samples of Multi-Active Day and Multiple-Active Night creams, both are early wrinkle correction and they are fabulous!! I know what I am asking for on my birthday ;-)
My advice is trial and error and you need to find which one that works for you. Have a day shopping at the department stores focusing on your skin care by asking the beauty advisors on the counters. Explain you are doing your research into finding the right products for your skin to later buy - don't feel obliged to buy there and then and ask to see if you could try first of all. If you already have your fave skin care range, then go and treat your skin this month!!

Prime-time!!

Brrrrr!!!! It's chilly, windy and cold out there - but ensure your make up stays put and flawless in this weather with a fabulous primer!!! I love smash box foundation primer - use after your skin care regime and just before your apply your foundation for a celeb makeup finish or even use it alone for beautiful skin!!

Primers are a great option for wedding Makeup for all of those wedding snaps!! :-)
